As of January 1st, 2010, the Village of Beiseker basic water rate increased to $69.30 and $3.85 per cubic meter over and above the basic.

Babysitting Course - Saturday, April 10th at the Beiseker Community Centre from 9 am - 4 pm.  This FREE course is for 12 years of age and over.  Register at the Village Office - a maximum of 18 people will be accepted.  Parent signature is required with each registration.

Indoor Walking Club - This walking club will be every Monday, Wednesday AND FRIDAY from 9-11am at the Beiseker Community Hall.  For more information, contact Torill at the Village Office - 403 947-3774.  THIS WALKING CLUB HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MARCH 31ST.

Beiseker Lion's Steak Fry - Saturday, April 17th at the Beiseker Community Centre.  Tickets will be available at local businesses.

Home-based Businesses - Do you have a home-based business but no customers?  Or would you like to increase your business?  We can help!!  Please contact the Village Office with the name and nature of your home-based business.  We'll include you in our business directory and link you to our web-site.  FREE advertising!!

The Village of Beiseker is seeking new members to fill positions on the Economic Development and Tourism Committee.  The goals and objectives of this committee is to promote new and existing businesses in the village, along with a growing residential component.  The goal is to provide for balanced (integrated) industrial, commercial and residential growth while maintaining the definitive lifestyle advantages of a small community.  Both rural and urban residents are invited to sit on this committee.  Please contact Gail at the Village Office.

New Village of Beiseker office hours - Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, closed from 12 noon to 1pm for lunch.  Friday 8am - 12 noon.

The Beiseker Station Museum is working on the history of the businesses and buildings on 6th street.  If anyone has photos of these buildings or information on any past business in these buildings, please contact Iris Balson at 403 947-3920.

Shinny - 12 years old and under - Mondays from 4-5 EXTENDED TO MARCH 22.  13 years old and older - Fridays from 3:30 - 4:30 EXTENDED TO MARCH 26TH.

The Beiseker Cookbook is now available for sale - $18.00.  You can pick up your copy at Mountain View Credit Union or at the Village Office.

Regular Meetings of Council will now begin at 7:30 pm, every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.  If this date falls on a statutory holiday, the meeting will held the following night.

The Village of Beiseker By-law #2003-13 states that all dogs and cats within the village boundaries must be licensed or will be subject to a fine.

Transfer Station and Recycling Depot Hours - Summer (May  - October) Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat - 10 am - 3 pm. Winter (November - April) Thur, Fri, Sat - 10 am - 3pm.

Transfer Station Fees for Village of Beiseker residents: Fridges, freezers, - $15. Love Seats, chairs - $5. Couches -$10 mattresses/boxsprings - $5 each. There is a $1 charge per bag of household garbage deposited at the Transfer Station. Please note: All residents of the Village of Beiseker must have a 2009 transfer station card. These cards are available at the Village Office OR at the Transfer Station.

Cars and Trucks can now be disposed of at the Transfer Station.

Transfer Station Fees - Out of Town Residents - Half ton truck load or less - $20, oversized half ton truck load - $40, half ton truck with trailer - $60. Large loads and waste removal companies must dump at Drumheller Solid Waste Facility.

Please have your garbage out before 8:00 am on Friday mornings. If a holiday falls on a Friday, garbage and recycling will be picked up on Thursday. The three (3) bag limit is now in effect. For extra bags, tags are available at the Village Office for $1.00 each.

Pre-authorized tax payments - automatic withdrawal/electronic debit for tax payments will begin January, 2010.  Please contact the Village of Beiseker office for more information.
